St Scarlett Executive

Misty Rygg Portrait.png

As of 2018 St Scarlett is a democratic nation with an elected leader, to show the leader's status as the true power of the nation they have the title of president rather then prime minister, they are not considered a servant to the matriarch. The president may also select a vice president, either from their own party or from a coalition partner, though this is optional. If something incapacitates the president and there is no vice president the secretary of domestic affairs becomes the new president until the next election is held.

Elections for the Member's Gathering are held every 4 years, the party with the most seats automatically selects its leader to act as president. The president selects her or his cabinet from either their own party or from a coalition partner.

The Medlemsmote currently contains 200 seats, these seats are distributed to each region based on population. This institution is the lower house of the parliament and drafts legislation to be considered for Skarlagen law, it is similar to the British house of commons.

The current coalition is between the Labour, New Left and Civil Liberties parties with Misty Rygg serving as president and Catherine Harper serving as vice president. Misty Rygg is a compassionate and humanitarian leader who strives to make life comfortable and free for everyone living within St Scarlett. Her ambitions lead her newly formed Labour party to victory just months after its foundation. Catherine Harper is a strong and independent deputy to President Rygg, using her socialist values to focus on making the workplace a better place for the people of St Scarlett to be and to seek improved relations with many socialist countries across the world that were formerly frozen out.
